For more than 25 years, the Swiss Distance University Institute has been offering part-time Bachelor’s and Master’s
degrees as well as continuing education courses mainly taught online. The institute has 11 professorships, 4 faculties,
fifty staff members and more than 300 lecturers.
Over 2000 students study in French, German or English. Online studies offer the ideal solution for anyone wishing to
combine studies, work, family and free time.
The institute meets the highest quality standards in the areas of teaching and research. It is currently in the process of
setting up its own academic chairs with their own staff and financial resources endowment.
The Swiss Distance University Institute is seeking a virtual reality developer (programmer and designer) and/or a virtual
reality team to work on the following National Research Project: “Using virtual reality to learn about inaccessible
micro- and macrocosmic structures in primary school”.
This is a joint project between our Institute and the FHNW and Bern University of Teacher Education.
